i like the minor prophets

Unlike a guy at work, Pete, I do daily devotions without posting them for the world to see.  We have a guy at work that has somewhat recently found god, but instead of turning into an amazing person where people wonder "what's different about him?" he's turned into a raging lunatic who posts religious material on our digital bulletin board.

And while part of me perhaps grudgingly appreciates his devotion, the other part of me wants to slap him.  Posting *very* evangelical stuff, with the message to "be blessed!" is not the way to go, here.

*sigh*

The second day of lent - we have an away tournament this weekend that I'm mildly concerned about.  With giving up gluten, I'm worried that the prepared meals available won't have much that Bob and I can eat.  And while it's okay for me to starve a bit (I'm clearly not going to die) my husband is competing.    I'll have to pack extra snacks.

Speaking of my devotions - were we? - I read Joel 2 last night and was re-acquainted with the book.  You forget that there's some seriously interesting writing in the bible.  Not all verily verily and rules, some interesting stuff happens.  I like the minor prophets.

Does it hurt their feelings, being minor or major?  And who decided that?  Yay - something to google instead of cleaning the cat litter!  My life is just a series of exciting details, I tell you.
